As you journey through Northern Tanzania on this safari, you will have the unique opportunity to explore one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife areas in a variety of ways. From traversing the parks on foot or by bicycle, to traditional game drives, you will be able to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings and experience the beauty of the landscape from multiple perspectives.
As you arrive into Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to the comfortable Rivertrees Country Inn, a short drive of approximately 20 minutes from the airport.
Depart early for Lake Manyara National Park, a striking section of the Great Rift Valley, home to elephants, buffalo, giraffe, impala, zebra, and hippo among other species. The next morning begins with a walk along the lake’s shores, followed by opportunities for game drives, a swim in the rock pools, and a cold beer by the waterfalls near camp.
Another early start this morning, as we climb the side of Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater floor itself, the iconic feature of The Great Rift Valley, home to year round wildlife populations. This evening spend the night on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands.
This morning we will leave our lakeside location for the Ngorongoro Highlands. On our way to this contrasting area of northern Tanzania there will be the opportunity to enjoy a walk along an elevated walkway through the canopy of the forest.
After a hearty breakfast, we will travel by light aircraft to a remote corner of Serengeti National Park, depending on the season this will either be in southern or northern Serengeti. Here we will spend the next three nights, tracking the migration and enjoying some short bush walks.
Time for a final morning spent exploring the park with your guiding team before taking a short light aircraft flight (Cessna C208) back to Arusha in time for your departure flight from Kilimanjaro.
