Lake Manyara

Your early morning journey takes you eastward to Lake Manyara National Park in the Great Rift Valley. The drive introduces you to a range of ecosystems, from wetlands and forests to acacia woodlands and open grasslands, reflecting the area’s ecological diversity.

Explore Lake Manyara National Park through day and night game drives, providing opportunities to observe its varied wildlife. Additional activities include canoeing on the lake and a walking safari, offering a closer perspective on the environment. A highlight of your stay is the regular sighting of elephant herds near the camp, attracted by the nearby waterfall.

Hiking The Great Rift

After an early breakfast, meet your driver and travel to Empakai, where you’ll stay overnight in a modest tented camp near the trailhead. The following morning, set off on a guided hike with Maasai companions, descending into the crater before continuing through picturesque Maasai villages and rolling hills. The journey concludes at Lake Natron, where you can choose between a shorter route or a more challenging trek along the rift wall, offering expansive views with the striking Oldoinyo Lengai volcano as a backdrop.

Upon reaching the rift valley floor, transfer to Lake Natron Camp, where you can unwind in natural pools and take in a landscape that is truly distinctive in its character and beauty.
