Kigelia Ruaha

Kigelia combines meticulous attention to detail with an intimate setting in Ruaha National Park

Guest accommodations consist of tents that align well with the camp’s overarching aesthetic of understated elegance. Each tent is equipped with basic amenities such as king-sized beds, solar-powered lights, and secure storage options. Additionally, a two-way radio is provided in each tent for communication and safety alerts. Adjacent to the bedroom is a simplistic bathroom setup with a curtain for privacy, a basin, and a flushing toilet, with an optional outdoor shower offering a unique experience.

Safari activities are a cornerstone of the Kigelia Camp experience. The camp offers both half-day and full-day game drives in well-appointed vehicles featuring armchair-style seats and amenities like universal plug sockets and onboard fridges. Night drives are also available, making Kigelia one of the few camps in Ruaha with such a permit. These activities are flexible, tailored to the preferences of the guests. Furthermore, the camp’s location often allows for close-up sightings of local wildlife right from the tent, providing a rewarding and immersive natural experience.

Guest Rooms

The six tents at Kigelia Ruaha are designed for comfort without extravagance. A curtain divides the sleeping and bathroom areas, which feature a flushing toilet and a wooden table with a basin. For a more naturalistic experience, guests can use the outdoor safari shower under the stars, with hot water available on request. Each tent is equipped with a standing fan to alleviate the heat during warm afternoons.
