Serengeti’s Finest Safari

This itinerary links three ecologically significant regions of northern Tanzania, beginning in the Lake Manyara wildlife corridor before moving through the southern and western sectors of the Serengeti ecosystem. Each area is accessed through private flights or helicopter routes, creating a route focused on low-density tourism and high-level wildlife observation. Habitats range from acacia woodlands and seasonal lake edges to Serengeti grasslands and river systems, each supporting distinct predator territories, migratory pathways and specialist species.

The journey also highlights conservation initiatives that protect elephant routes, big cat ranges and key dispersal zones for herbivores moving between protected areas. Activities include guided walks, game drives, cultural engagement with the Hadzabe and a Rift Valley helicopter traverse. Lodges have been selected for their ecological management, research involvement and access to landscapes that remain largely insulated from heavy tourism patterns.

Mwiba Reserve, Southern Serengeti

Continue by private helicopter across the Rift Valley with a landing on Ol Doinyo Lengai before reaching Mwiba. Springs and rocky outcrops attract leopards, hyenas, giraffes and diverse birdlife. Drives and walks examine how wildlife uses these permanent water sources through dry periods. Time with the Hadzabe provides cultural context linked to long-standing foraging practices. Mwiba’s ongoing research contributes to regional wildlife monitoring and habitat protection.
