Tracking Rhino in Private Conservancies

This journey explores Kenya’s most celebrated private conservancies, combining a classic Maasai Mara safari with two of the continent’s foremost strongholds for rhino. Starting in Nairobi, guests pause at Giraffe Manor before flying into the exclusive Naboisho Conservancy for three days of predator and plains wildlife. From there, the safari continues north to Lewa, a pioneering conservancy recognised for its rhino conservation programmes, before concluding in Samburu, where desert-adapted species share space with expanding rhino populations.

At each stage, expert guides reveal the ecological and cultural complexity of Kenya’s landscapes, from Maasai traditions in the Mara to Samburu pastoral heritage further north. The focus remains on exclusivity and wildlife immersion, with activities including guided walks, rhino tracking, and vehicle safaris timed to the guests’ preferences. Camps are chosen for comfort and for their integration with conservation goals, ensuring privacy, expert insight, and meaningful encounters with both wildlife and people.
