Oliver’s Camp

Oliver’s Camp maintains a tasteful balance between its safari roots and luxurious accommodations

Walking safaris distinguish Oliver’s Camp from other accommodations. They aren’t just an afterthought here; they are a specialty. The guides, experts in their field, conduct walking expeditions in the company of a TANAPA (Tanzania National Parks Authority) ranger, ensuring safety and enriched learning experiences. These walks provide an intimate connection with the natural surroundings, encouraging guests to perceive the minutiae of the Tanzanian landscape and its denizens.

Another merit lies in the expertise of the guiding team, highly skilled in tracking down rare species and explaining ecological relationships in the ecosystem. They elucidate the unique fauna and flora relationships, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the environmental dynamics of Tarangire National Park, an element that enriches the safari experience manifold.

Conservation and Sustainability

Oliver’s Camp collaborates with the Tarangire Lion Project (TLP) to support initiatives such as GPS collaring and staff training. Monitoring activities focus on lion demographics tracking prides to gather data for targeted conservation strategies. Additionally, they work with the TLRI to mitigate human-carnivore conflicts by constructing predator-proof bomas and reducing retaliatory killing of lions.
