This journey follows the Great Migration across northern Tanzania, combining a private wilderness setting near Lake Manyara with time in two distinct sectors of the Serengeti. The itinerary is designed to stay close to the seasonal movement of wildebeest and zebra while maintaining access to regions known for low visitor numbers and strong resident predators. Light aircraft flights limit long transfers and extend the time spent in productive wildlife areas.
Guiding throughout the itinerary focuses on interpreting herd behaviour, predator activity and the influence of terrain on seasonal movements. Walks, gorge excursions and varied game drives allow guests to experience multiple habitats, from the forests around Lake Manyara to the open plains of the eastern and northern Serengeti. By dividing time between these regions, the trip improves the likelihood of meeting the herds at different stages of their progression.
