Borana Wildlife Conservancy

Begin your day with a morning flight from Nairobi Wilson to Lewa Downs. Upon arrival, your guide will transfer you to Borana Lodge, set within the 32,000-acre Borana Conservancy at 6,500 feet near Mt. Kenya. This diverse landscape bridges lush foothills and the arid north, offering abundant wildlife and varied terrain. Explore the conservancy on horseback, a tradition rooted in the Dyer family’s legacy. With stables for both advanced riders and beginners, guests of all ages can enjoy this intimate way to experience wildlife, riding breeds from thoroughbreds to Somali ponies.

Matthews Ranges

Travel on a scenic four-hour drive to the Matthews Ranges, where your Samburu guides will welcome you and help you settle into camp. They will outline trail options, preparing you for a four-night exploration of this remarkable region. Spend two nights in a lightweight wilderness camp, immersing yourself in the landscape with guided hikes led by experienced Samburu trackers through woodlands and dry riverbeds. The final two nights will be at the comfortable Kitich Camp, combining immersion with relaxation as you explore the area’s diverse flora and fauna.

Depart Nairobi

Returning by road to Nairobi, the drive from Loita Hills should take you around four hours. Upon arrival into Nairobi we will make sure there is a vehicle available for you until your departure and we will handle dinner reservations should time permit before your international flight.
