This safari is designed around Botswana’s most exclusive concessions, where guests travel with their own team and private camps. It begins in the Chitabe Concession of the Okavango Delta, renowned for its mix of woodland and floodplain, then continues into the secluded Kweene River system, accessible only by helicopter. A walking link between two camps here adds a deeper level of immersion before the journey concludes on the open salt pans of the Makgadikgadi. Each stage contrasts sharply in ecology while ensuring privacy and comfort throughout.
With private vehicles and camps, the rhythm of each day is set entirely by the guests. Game drives, mokoro outings, and guided walks reveal elephants, buffalo, hippos, and antelope alongside predators such as lion and wild dog. Birdlife of note includes martial and fish eagles, vultures, and secretary birds, often seen in relation to larger wildlife movements. The closing days shift to desert life, with San Bushmen guiding walks and nights spent under vast, star-filled skies.
