Day 1

Arrive Windhoek

Upon arrival at Windhoek Airport, you will be greeted by your dedicated driver and guide. They will facilitate your transfer to Galton House, ensuring a smooth start to your journey.

Day 2

Windhoek to Sossusvlei

Departing from Windhoek at a prearranged time, you will journey southwest towards the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei, located in the Namibrand Nature Reserve. The route includes a passage by the Naukluft National Park, culminating in a four-and-a-half-hour drive. Your destination is Hoodia Desert Lodge, your accommodation for the next two nights.

Day 3

Exploration of Sossusvlei

From the comfort of Hoodia Desert Lodge, embark on an early morning journey to the renowned Sossusvlei dunes, accompanied by your guide. Traverse the ancient Tsauchab River bed, switching to 4×4 mode for deep sand areas. The excursion includes insightful discussions on the local flora and fauna, such as springbok, oryx, and ostriches. Experience a hike to Dead Vlei and Sossusvlei along less-traveled paths, reducing encounters with other visitors.

Upon arrival, you will check into Onduli Ridge, your accommodation for the next two nights.

Day 7

Exploring Damaraland

Located in Damaraland’s dramatic landscape, Onduli Ridge acts as a base from which to explore the striking surroundings of Damaraland with your private driver and guide. Positioned at the base of twin south-facing granite outcrops linked by a natural ridge, this retreat offers panoramic views. To the south lies the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest peak, while the north offers a vista of scattered, cathedral-like granite inselbergs.

Day 8

Damaraland to Etosha National Park

Today, you will begin your journey towards Etosha National Park, initially heading east before turning north at the quaint town of Outjo. This drive will take approximately two hours, leading you to Ongava, a private conservancy located to the south of Etosha National Park. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your suite, which will be your base for the next three nights as you explore the region.

Day 9

Etosha National Park

At Anderssons at Ongava, guests are offered a distinctive experience, blending the opportunity to engage with resident scientists, visiting researchers, conservationists, and rhino security personnel in pioneering, knowledge-based conservation efforts. Leaving Etosha National Park you will make your way south, heading back towards the capital city of Windhoek. This is a long drive of between five to six hours allowing for stops along the way. So as to avoid staying in Windhoek again, you will instead stay on The exclusive Zannier Reserve for one night before departing the following morning.

Depart Windhoek

Spend the morning at your leisure, or enjoying the private Zannier Reserve with your guide. Then transfer back to Windhoek in time for your international departure flight.
